Grounded in Principle.
Built on Dialogue.
Warisan Legal was founded on the belief that commercial disputes deserve thoughtful, structured resolution — not prolonged adversarial proceedings that drain time, money, and business relationships.

A Practice Built Around the Round Table
Warisan Legal was established in Kuala Lumpur in 2011 by a group of practitioners who had spent years in commercial litigation and had grown increasingly aware of its limitations. Court proceedings, while necessary in some circumstances, rarely serve the interests of businesses seeking workable, timely outcomes — particularly where ongoing commercial relationships are at stake.
The practice was designed from the outset to focus exclusively on alternative dispute resolution — mediation, domestic arbitration, and international arbitration. This deliberate specialisation means our practitioners develop a depth of procedural knowledge that broader generalist firms rarely match.
The name Warisan — meaning "heritage" in Malay — reflects our commitment to preserving what businesses have built. When disputes arise, we work to protect relationships, reputations, and outcomes that have taken years to establish.

Arbitration and Mediation Expertise in Kuala Lumpur
Warisan Legal operates at the intersection of commercial law and structured negotiation — two disciplines that, when properly combined, offer businesses a realistic path through even complex, high-value disputes. Our practice covers the full spectrum of alternative dispute resolution under Malaysian law, including proceedings governed by the Arbitration Act 2005, the Rules of the AIAC, and major international institutional frameworks.
Malaysian businesses engaged in construction, trade, joint ventures, and supply chain operations regularly encounter contractual disagreements that require structured resolution. Warisan Legal provides that structure — from initial strategic assessment through to award or settlement — with the attention and care that commercial relationships deserve.
For foreign investors and multinational enterprises with disputes touching Malaysian jurisdiction, our team provides guidance through the recognition of foreign arbitral awards in Malaysian courts and the management of cross-border proceedings under the New York Convention framework. We work across industries including construction, energy, technology, and financial services.
